Synergies for exhibitors and visitors
From 2011, Eu'Vend - the International Trade Fair for the Vending Industry - will take place in conjunction with coffeena - the International Coffee & Tea Fair. "Eu'Vend provides the perfect setting for the topic of coffee and coffee preparation in Koelnmesse's portfolio of food-related trade fairs," explains Gerald Böse, Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH. "The two fairs complement and boost each other's image in an outstanding fashion. Exhibitors and visitors alike will benefit from this." Since 2003, Eu'Vend has established itself as the leading trade fair for the vending industry. It takes place every two years in Cologne and covers the topics of vending machines for hot drinks and general sales, filling products (food and non-food), payment systems and services. coffeena celebrated its successful premier in June 2009 in Cologne. In parallel to the SCAE World Championships, it presents a broad spectrum of products related to coffee, from machines and other accessories to coffee specialities, china, baked goods, flavourings and chocolate. The bringing together of Eu'Vend and coffeena will further enhance their already high levels of competence in the coffee sector.

The organisers of Eu'Vend - Koelnmesse and the German Vending Association (BDV) - concluded that the last event in September 2009 delivered positive results. The 205 suppliers from 18 countries welcomed around 5,000 trade visitors from 59 countries, including important decision-makers from the vending sector as well as internationally operating companies and food service and catering providers. With its around 3,550 visitors and 84 exhibitors, coffeena also produced excellent results.
Both trade fairs address buyers from the catering sector - from system caterers and communal catering, right through to catering in hotels and coffee shops. Through the expansion of the coffee and tea segment's product range, interested trade visitors are provided with new scope for promoting themselves - whether through their own coffee specialities or roasts, or through quality-oriented concepts for particular buyers and customer groups. The exhibitors at coffeena will benefit from the contact to the operators of hot-drink vending machines, as it will provide the exhibitors with further interesting sales opportunities.

Eu'Vend 2011 will feature a new logo and a new key visual that will highlight the relation of coffeena to the vending industry. coffeena will continue to sport its own logo, which will underline the independence and high quality of the international coffee trade fair.
